University of Wollongong (UoW) is a world-class research and teaching institution providing solutions to real-world problems.

gemaker was engaged by the Innovation and Commercial Research team at UoW to assess the commercial feasibility of two research outcomes:

  1. a knowledge management tool
  2. new semi-conductor technology (SpinGapless)

gemaker conducted preliminary market assessments, defining each technology’s strengths and weaknesses, target market, competitors, cost to market and potential funding sources.

By interviewing representatives from the target market, gemaker acquired feedback to develop value propositions and make recommendations for commercialisation strategy.

In addition, gemaker identified key industry contacts and made introductions for UoW, and developed marketing collateral to clearly explain the technology and communicate its value to industry.
