Market research & commercialisation strategy

gemaker was contracted by RMIT to determine the commercial feasibility and potential path to market for two distinct applications of their novel Hydrogen Sensor: detection of Irritable Bowel Syndrome and early warning of leaks or dangerous gas concentrations in industrial hydrogen production.

To produce a high-level report, the gemaker team met with the RMIT researchers, reviewed the existing market feedback and relevant reports, conducted extensive web research and analysis, and interviewed numerous technical and market experts.

For each technological application, the resulting report covered the potential target market, unmet market need, competitors, potential partners, key drivers, barriers to entry, and IP considerations. gemaker also reviewed commercialisation options (start-up, strategic alliance, joint venture and IP licensing, including preferred licencees), identified key challenges and compiled a clear, prioritised action list.
