Commercialisation review and strategy

Monash Innovation (MI) engaged gemaker to conduct a major review, including market research and benchmarking of the commercialisation process or ‘pipeline’ at Monash University. The aim was to help the MI team find means and opportunities to widen the commercialisation pipeline so that more Monash innovators achieve commercial success and significant impact.

gemaker conducted extensive online research, plus staff workshops, stakeholder interviews and customer surveys. gemaker’s resulting report clearly identified MI’s strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats, and included international benchmarking, inspiring case studies from other universities with high impact, and a comprehensive list of strategic and operational recommendations for both MI and the University.
