gemaker assisted Actionlaser with their strategic plan and successful application to the Advanced Manufacturing Growth Centre’s Commercialisation Fund for a $559K grant to establish Australian manufacturing capability for filters used in recycling of polymers, replacing current imported products.
Actionlaser’s $1.3M project comprises: acquiring and installing a new laser, rotary worktable, and computerised motion control and design systems for digitised manufacturing; optimising sandblasting, swarf and surface defect removal processes; and recruiting and training five new employees while upskilling ten existing staff members.
The grant enables Actionlaser to implement new manufacturing technologies, boost productivity, and build a STEM-skilled workforce to become the global leader in aftermarket replacement filters for the plastic recycling industry.
